Stay With Me - Clint Mansell
You have absolutely no idea how much I love The Fountain and its soundtrack. Darren Aronofsky + Clint Mansell = Perfection.
Actually, I think I’m gonna go watch this movie and cry my heart out…
This is one of my favorite pieces of all time, soundtrack, classical, contemporary, doesn’t matter. It’s my fav track off of my fav soundtrack. Only thing that comes close is anything from ‘last of the mohicans’ - KP
“Together We Will Live Forever” by Clint Mansell
From the film The Fountain, directed by Darren Aronofsky. This is quite possibly my favorite film. I went into the first viewing not knowing at all what it was about, and came out transformed. There is no way I can ever summon words to describe how this song makes me feel. It is unadulterated aural beauty. It is perfection. The slowly building piano evokes a feeling of heartbreaking timelessness, a sorrowful optimism, an acceptance of the inevitable yet a rising to the imminent fate. This makes my existence feel infinite.
I cannot upload a quality audio, since it is two seconds over five minutes long, but I really recommend you download this album—all I can say is that you are depriving yourself of a truly gorgeous experience by not doing so. Clint Mansell has composed a masterpiece.

This is a first test to see if my reverb nation account links with tumblr. Which so far is a big fat NO it’s looking like it will have to link OFF SITE to do it, which bums be out… this is me… being bummed… I know the vids work, but here’s a tune i wrote way back in 93 trying to be all Depeche Mode, or however it’s spelled as I’m not about to look it up… ok, hold on….
holly shit, i got it right first shot… THAT does not happen often, to be sure. In any case, it uses a delay on, well, just about everything to loop around and fill out the sound and some natural and synthetically altered harmonies to make it ‘all 80s like’ as one producer told me. Which i, being a child of such times/places, did not immediately take offense to.
Lyrically though it makes little sense as i came up with the stuff in the worst possible way as opposed to my normal method for writing a song (that method will be properly explained forthcoming…) where i let it play and just kinda… well, fuck it, made up shit as it played the first time as a test track, and ended up keeping the lyrics cos i liked how they flowed. If you pay attention (who does, even i’m zoning out here at this point) you can ACTUALLY hear me ripping off depeche mode’s ‘people are people’ lyric at the front end of the song, lol.

It’s easy to be smart but a struggle to be wise - Todd Rundgren
First tune. yay. I plan on putting up a few of my tunes, one a week or so, till they’re all out there in one way or another. They’ve sat on my hard drive for too long and people seem to enjoy them when they get the chance to hear them.
This is ‘the wrong woods’ which is a pun about a certain garden complex somewhere in chester county that i wrote for a party… one of the few KF tunes with a vid, or something approaching a vid i suppose is a better way to put it. I forgot to sing the chorus in the middle of the song the first time i recorded it, so it just shows up at the end for an appearance, lol. Butter late than never.
